Cover WP Theme

Cover WP Theme

A user-ready magazine style theme featuring a brown color scheme on a victorian background by Emily Coletta. Includes support for several plugins, a user-friendly interface, multiple features and localization. Features:

  • drop-down menus
  • featured & popular posts
  • automatic thumbnail resizing
  • widget-ready sidebar and footer
  • custom header (alternative header included in images folder)
  • author highlighting
  • social bookmarking
  • threaded comments
  • localized for english, romanian and german

Recommended plugins:

Instructions:

  • Do not edit the default stylesheet! Changes added to that file will get lost if you update the theme. Instead create a file called mystyle.css and add any custom styles in there.
  • Read the tutorial on my blog about how to add a thumbnail to a post.
  • Create a category called “Featured”. Posts in that category will appear in the Featured section.
  • To avoid long pages, set the posts per page setting between 4 and 6.
  • If you don’t like the magazine-styled layout and prefer the classic posts view, delete the file home.php from the installation directory.

Theme released under GPL. Feel free to use, modify and redistribute it however you like.

  1. Hi,

I am using the theme and the nested pages only seem to allow a maximum of three pages in each nest. Is there a way to change that?

    Thanks.

  2. Love, love, love the layout! Having trouble, though, adjusting it to my color specifications. How can I delete the Victorian background and the light gray backgrounds in Featured, Headline, Popular and Latest?

  3. We love the layout and would stick to it. But we have the same troubles as John with the pages. It is not possible to show more than subpages and we’ve problems to see the 5th main page in the header. Is there a way to configure that? Thx in advance!

  5. I love your theme, but there is one thing I need to change with it for my site. I need the header code removed/altered without breaking the site. My intentions is to have the “featured content gallery” plugin as my header instead. http://www.featuredcontentgallery.com Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you in advance!

    Best,

  8. This is absolutely THE most perfect theme for my needs, but I do have some questions. Is there any way to change the popular posts that are featured? Also, is there any way to change the font size of posts, as well as the spacing between paragraphs? Minor things. I love the design. Completely what I wanted. So very happy I found it!

  9. I Love Your Cover-WP Theme!!!
    It is Awesome!!!
I have been using it for a while now, and still love it :)
    Thank You Very Much.

  10. I just realized that on postpages the menu gets pushed down at the bottom below the postpage part.
    example http://festideer.festogfarver.net/opskrifter-til-festen/opskrift-pa-en-bornerom-til-soroverfesten/
This is only a problem in IE 8 it appears. Does anyone know what this could be, and how I can fix it?
