here’s another featured images question. on my other site, http://www.iamagetawaygirl.com, i sized my photo to be exactly the size it should be for the home page, but it seems to lose sharpness there. then, it runs a little smaller in the individual post (and the sharpness, of course, looks fine).

for example, the image here (http://www.iamagetawaygirl.com/back-to-basics/) looks better than it does on the home page (http://www.iamagetawaygirl.com/).

anyone have any ideas why? thank you again! sorry again to sound like such a noob.

Your pictures are smaller than the theme width. You should support a bigger image which can be downscaled instead of upscaled. For the best results use two different images (thumbnail vs. post) each with the native size when uploading.

    Hi Caroline,
I think the theme readme file suggested an upload width of 1150pixel for images that are going to be used as “sticky” posts.
It looks like the thumbnails for you page need to be at least 700px wide for the theme to scale them properly…

thanks, photonopticum and alexander. i’ll give the 1150px a try and also try two different image sizes for each place.

i took a month or so off thinking about this, and now have lost track of what i figured out in the first place! that’ll teach me.

    Hi there,

I have just created a header image for my pin board themed site. How do I add the JPEG header image to the header ?
