Adding Posts to Page

    Thank you very much for the theme, I very much appreciate it. As others have stated, it’s quite a nice theme.

    I have two questions that I was wondering if it’s possible to do.

    1. Can we show posts in the side bar, Featured Image & Title, without using a plugin?

    2. On the homepage, along with the slider, I would like a page followed by recent posts. Is it possible to do both?

    I’ve tried creating a page using one of the template pages Blog or Portfolio, but the content I manually put in disappears when I view the page. It only displays the posts.

    Any help on the 2nd issue especially, would be wonderful.

    I sort of had to combine two template pages together to make one. Page.php and template-blog.php (or something like that). This was to fix #2.

    If there was an easier way I wouldn’t mind knowing.
