Aligning images side by side

Hello.

How do I align images side by side? So far I can only stack them one above the other. I want them to appear side by side, as though in columns, but I need to do this on a page that is not formatted in columns. That is, the text is right aligned above and below the images.

I want to do this to save space on the page. Otherwise I will have long pages with images one above the other.
