Daniel, I installed the Cover WP theme to a new website I’m building and for some reason the “featured” articles aren’t showing up on the site. I created the category “featured” and then chose it from the Appearance-Theme options but it doesn’t display. I also tried to pick other categories from the drop down menu and they don’t appear either. Do I need an updated version? I’m new at WordPress. I provided my temp URL when I created my account so I could make this post.

The slug for your Featured category is “thenetworkingminuteenewsletter”.
Change this to Features and then it will work.

Hi, I seem to have the same problem. I had been altering the colours etc. of the theme, but I’ve since shifted the entire theme directory and reinstalled it from scratch, and still my front page shows no featured items etc. It’s at:

    Any ideas what’s missing?

    Thanks,
    Wendy.

Don’t worry – I figured it out. I’d turned the front page to static when I was testing out another theme (Tools -> Reading). I forgot to turn it back on again.

A cool thing you can add to your homepage is a Featured Posts slider or Featured Content Gallery via a plugin. I did this to two of my websites and it looks great. Check them out here:
