    Hello Daniel and others,

Any time I set a “Featured Image” (in both Standard and Image post formats) the image is automatically cropped in the blog feed, at a proportion that cuts off the top and bottom. It is actually a new image generated to be 600×300; I would like to disable this. I am using the full width setting with no sidebar. Here is my site:

The first two posts in the full width example site don’t appear to have this issue! I’d love for my site to work that way:

The only way to avoid this problem is to use the “Image” post format and NOT set a featured image. Has anyone else come across this issue? Thanks for any support or responses.

P.S. If anyone knows how to efficiently search this forum I would like to do so. Plenty of answered questions but the search in the footer doesn’t reach the support forums.

I’m having the same problem as well.

    And ditto and searching resolutions!

Had a bit of a “duh” moment on this one, I’m starting to feel for Daniel and other free theme developers in terms of the support they are expected to the provide and the simplicity of questions asked (like mine).

Anywho, with Pinboard active go to Appearance > Theme Options. The third option down is labeled “Post Thumbnails”. Make sure that “Hard Crop Post Thumbnails” IS NOT CHECKED, then rebuild your site’s thumbnails using AJAX Thumbnail Rebuild (as is suggested in grey underneath the checkbox).

Also, remember to set a “Featured Image” for all posts in the bottom right in the post creator (for applicable post types). This image is now no longer cropped, and displays correctly in the feed.
