I’ve set the theme to display three FULL POSTs above the grid. My site shows three posts above the grid format…but they’re just excerpts, and nowhere does it even say anything like “READ MORE”. People just have to assume it’s not the whole thing and click it to read it. I don’t like that. Why isn’t it really the FULL post? How do I change that?

    Hi RachelH,

A “full post” is a featured post with a larger image. With Pinball the copy below the image is an “excerpt” and can’t be changed by options. I wrote a tutorial how to add a “more” link to the excerpt manually:

Thanks Alexander, so there is no way to make any post the WHOLE thing on the home page? Not just a featured post with larger image?

Sure, you can try to replace the excerpt with the content, but that has other issues than one might not think of. By default the theme doesn’t have this option. Once you changed it, you can decide how many featured posts to be shown on the homepage in the theme/options, even all are possible than.

As far as I remember there was a thread in this forum discussing this issue with a code snippet that needs to be replaced (excerpt vs. content) not long time ago. Maybe you will find it.
