unwanted frame arround slider in pinboard theme

Hi on my page http://www.european-opera-cooperation.org/ I cannot get the slider on full width like in your demo site of pinboard theme. Tried different slider and width settings.
It always stops and keeps a white frame. How do I get rid of this frame ?

It would be good to be able to set the font for the Site Title separately.
And it would be good to be able to switch off the Title in the head completely to use a jpg for that.
