I am trying to replace the C avatar (C as in Cover-WP) with my own so that it represents the site I am working on, not the theme, when people see the URL in their address bar or favorities list.
I tried to replace avatar.png with an edited copy of my own in myinstalldirectorywp-contentthemescover-wpimages where avatar.png resides. I can see that the file changed on the server, but I cannot see the change in my browser, even after clearing the cache.
Clearly, this isn’t the only thing that needs to be done to change it. What do I really need to do to change the icon that visitors see in their favories bar for bookmarks of my site?
Thanks!
worknetParticipantI also tried rebooting, and visiting from another PC, so it’s not a cache on my client that’s a problem. I can open the .PNG and see that it’s not the original. I have tried activating an old theme and reactivating Cover-WP. Still, the default C icon appears and not my replacement.
Daniel TaraKeymasterThe icon I see, assuming the website is the one at your profile, is a black factory with “tv” written in red. If that’s correct then it’s working.
